We are seeking a senior designer to join our fast growing Shopify agency. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design and e-commerce. We are looking for a candidate that has a good understanding of the unique challenges of ecommerce companies.
What you'll do
- Design and conceptualize innovative, user-centric solutions from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client objectives and enhance user experience.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the development process.
- Lead the creative process for projects, including visual design, user experience, and user interface design.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and identify design opportunities to improve the shopping experience.
- Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency in brand representation across all digital platforms.
- Utilize modern design tools and software to create high-fidelity prototypes and mockups.
- Stay abreast of the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices in ecommerce and digital design. Implement these insights into design projects to keep the agency at the forefront of innovation.
Experience you'll bring
- Strong Design Portfolio: Demonstrable experience with a strong portfolio in digital design.
- Ecommerce Awareness: Understanding of ecommerce businesses, user experience best practices, and common challenges.
- Technical Proficiency: A good technical understanding of web design processes, including responsive design, and familiarity with design and prototyping tools such Figma.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to lead design projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketers, and content creators.
- Curiosity and Continuous Learning: A genuine interest in staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices in e-commerce and digital design.
- Customer centric: Prioritizing client needs and ensuring the delivery of solutions that align with their goals.
- Accountability: Taking responsibility for one's actions and decisions, and ensuring team members are also held accountable.
- Nice to have: Shopify Knowledge: Familiarity with the Shopify platform, its features, and functionalities.
