Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Shopify Architect to lead the technical strategy, architecture design, and development of our Shopify-based e-commerce solutions. The Shopify Architect will ensure that the solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Shopify’s ecosystem, including app development, integrations, and theme customization. Candidate must have worked in shopify in last 1 year, before scheduling interview with me
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of Shopify e-commerce platforms, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Define scalable and maintainable architecture for Shopify-based systems, with a focus on optimizing for performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver business features.
- Creating industry specific digital architecture with roles involving analysis design development administration and integration of distributed architecture applications in web-based internet/intranet client-server
- Diagnose and solve technical problems related to Shopify implementation
- Implement and oversee integrations with third-party services (ERP, CRM, payment gateways, etc.).
- Lead technical decision-making for complex development tasks and drive innovation.
- Ensure all Shopify implementations follow security and compliance best practices.
- Develop reusable Shopify components, apps, and themes.
- Perform regular audits and optimizations of Shopify stores for performance, security, and SEO.
- Mentor and guide junior developers and engineers to enhance the technical team’s skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in web development with at least 5 years of experience in Shopify platform architecture.
- Expertise in Shopify Liquid templating language, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Ruby.
- Strong understanding of Shopify’s ecosystem, APIs, and app development.
- Experience with integrations of Shopify to third-party platforms.
- Ability to solve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.
- Strong understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
