WHAT WILL YOU DO AT WHOLSUM FOODS?
Are you ready to shape the future of data analytics in a fast-paced startup environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual who would be accountable for profitable business growth across all accounts based and will be responsible for the Modern Trade market. He/she will be working closely with all account managers, customer marketing managers and sales team to meet objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Architect and implement complex Shopify solutions to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Optimise store performance, quality, and responsiveness
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues and bottlenecks
- Establish and maintain code quality standards, best practices, and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify platform updates and e-commerce trends
- Design and create shopify custom plugins
- Ability to own, connect and partner with plugin developers to evaluate or launch features
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience on Shopify Front-end and Back-end developers with good fundamentals and understanding of databases, APIs and hosting/server is a big plus
- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Extensive experience with Shopify theme development, customization, and optimization
- Strong understanding of Shopify APIs, app integration, plugins and custom app development
- Proven experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues
- Familiarity with Shopify Hydrogen framework and headless commerce concepts
- Knowledge of advanced JavaScript concepts and modern ES6+ features
- Experience with Shopify CLI, Theme Kit, and other Shopify development tools
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices, user experience principles, and conversion optimization
- Knowledge of SEO principles and implementation in Shopify stores
