WordPress & Shopify Developer

We are in search of skilled and experienced WordPress & Shopify Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building, maintaining, and optimizing custom e-commerce solutions and websites for our diverse clientele. You will work closely with front-end developers and design team to translate requirements into technical solutions that deliver optimal performance and user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize custom functionalities and integrations for WordPress and Shopify platforms using APIs, Liquid (Shopify), and other relevant technologies
• Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and project managers to translate design mock-ups into functional e-commerce features and website elements
• Craft custom themes and plugins to enhance functionality, tailoring solutions to meet specific project requirements for both WordPress and Shopify
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on existing WordPress websites and Shopify stores, including updates, backups, and security enhancements
• Conduct comprehensive performance assessments and tests, identifying and resolving issues that may impact user experience on both platforms
• Manage backend components, including database and server integration, ensuring smooth website operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain seamless functionality and user experience
• Stay updated with the latest features, best practices, and security updates for both WordPress and Shopify
• Provide training sessions to clients on managing and updating their websites and online stores
• Implement and maintain SEO best practices to optimize search engine visibility for WordPress websites and Shopify stores
• Participate in code reviews, maintaining clean, well-documented code, and contribute to the development of internal tools and processes

Desired Skills:

• Proven 5 years of experience as a WordPress and Shopify Developer or in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in developing custom themes and plugins for both platforms
• Proficiency in Shopify APIs, Liquid, and WordPress development best practices, including AJAX integration
• Strong skills in frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery, as well as experience integrating data via RESTful APIs
• Robust understanding of PHP backend development principles and skilled in creating responsive design websites that adapt seamlessly to various devices
• Effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork aptitude, with exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Enthusiasm for e-commerce and a keenness to embrace new technologies, along with proficiency in utilizing AI tools to enhance coding practices and solutions
• Preferred Shopify Certified Developer or actively pursuing certification, with familiarity in headless Shopify development and developing tailored Shopify applications
• Experience with popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Page Bakery, and ACF, and adept in navigating debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, and others
