Shopify eCommerce Specialist

As we evolve into a software-first business, we’re scaling globally and building a connected product ecosystem—from award-winning wearables to our own mobile network and soon-to-launch Spacetalk App 2.0. 

About the Role 

We’re looking for a hands-on Shopify e-commerce Specialist to own the setup, customisation, and scaling of our Shopify storefronts as we expand into international markets. This isn’t a strategy-only role—we need someone who can get under the hood, modify themes, integrate with third-party apps, and get our eCommerce experience production-ready.

Key responsibilities:  

• Build, optimise, and localise multiple Shopify storefronts (US, UK, EU, etc.) based on the AU store template. 

• Write and implement custom code and theme modifications to support UX, conversion, and branding. 

• Set up backend operations (shipping logic, tax, checkout flows, integrations with payments, inventory, etc). 

• Collaborate with marketing, CX and operations teams to ensure readiness for market-specific launches. 

• Work with internal developers as needed to align Shopify architecture with broader tech stack. 

• Test, QA, and deploy new features and experiences—no detail too small.

About You 

• 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience (custom themes, Liquid, APIs, integrations). 

• Proven ability to launch and scale Shopify stores internationally. 

• Bonus: experience with Shopify Plus, third-party apps, and headless setups. 

• Strong understanding of eCommerce operations (shipping, fulfilment, tax compliance, etc). 

• Self-starter, problem-solver, can take a build brief and run with it independently.
